The Nebraska Credit Union League is a not-for-profit trade association that represents the interest of Nebraska’s state and federally chartered credit unions and their nearly 520,000 members. The League was organized in 1934, and more than 70 years later, continues to focus on helping our member credit unions succeed. President/CEO – OPPD EFCU, Omaha
Omaha Public Power District Employees Federal Credit Union (OPPD EFCU) is looking for an experienced leader to become the next CEO of this highly impactful financial institution. The Board of OPPD EFCU, to which the CEO reports, feels strongly that the credit union must grow its membership and continue investing in technology solutions that aligns with the ways current and future members will prefer to conduct business with the credit union.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent experience;
- 3 – 5 years demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience in the Financial Services industry
Applying candidates should possess the following experience:
- Strong finance or accounting background;
- Strong marketing experience: traditional, online, social media marketing is all a plus;
- Some experience integrating or managing new technology solutions in financial services;
- Strong experience with or demonstrated aptitude for regulatory compliance tasks;
- Experience with governing bodies;
Additional proficiencies that are preferred:
- Experience developing and executing an IT/cybersecurity program or strong general aptitude for IT, computers;
- Demonstrated lending background;
- Vendor contracting and management
Ideal candidate summary:
With a small but efficient staff of 3, the leader of this organization must wear multiple hats, be willing to take on any task no matter how large or small, have a fiery entrepreneurial spirit, be capable of juggling multiple projects and responsibilities, be a confident and thoughtful leader, and have the drive to develop business and get things done.
